Begin Drawing of Shell. First drawing will be in pencil on 9X12 paper.  Contour line, shaded drawing. Artist's Statement due at completion of project!

Continue pencil drawing above. When contour line drawing is complete, students will draw a composition of overlapping shells that they will complete with colored pencil.

Assign first weekly drawing--due this Friday!

A realistic shoe. Include 50-word paragraph on back describing the drawing, what it means to you, what was enjoyable, hard, easy, etc. about the process and anything you'd like me to know about it.

Begin GRIDDED DRAWING.  Students will choose a portrait to copy.  measure it out length and width, then choose a common denominator to enlarge it by--2-3 times it's size.  On larger paper, students will create a grid with lines equally spaced.  they will then place edges pieces of paper on the photo they are enlarging and create a grid on it as well.  Proceeding square by square, the students will draw lines in each square to copy the smaller drawing accurately onto the larger paper.  When complete, they will shade it with #6 pencil. Illustrate your worst nightmare.
