"What's a good time/distance/height for my event?"
Every year, I hear this question from athletes. Really, it depends on your definition of "good."
Sometimes they're wanting to know what it will take to get a ribbon or medal. That depends entirely on the level of the meet.
Other times they're wanting to know what it will take to get to State. That's a little easier to answer: look at past regional results.
Regions change over time, but each region usually seems to be strong in particular events.
The good ones want to know what it will take to do well at State. Click here for the top eight performances at the 2007 1A State meet.
At State, some years are tougher than others in different events but, on the whole, the quality is always high.
